Florissant Fire Protection District has an ISO Public Protection Classification rating of 4/4Y. Insurance companies may use this rating when setting property premiums, so a better rating can mean lower costs for you.

Which class applies to you?

• Class 4: within 5 road miles of a station and 1,000 feet of an approved water source
• Class 4Y: within 5 road miles of a station but more than 1,000 feet from water
• Class 10: more than 5 road miles from a station without automatic aid coverage (mostly far northern Teller County)

What to do: Download the ISO rating letter and send it to your insurance agent. Ask them to confirm your class and whether your premium reflects it.
